In the past I have tried all sorts of diets and exercise routines and the most I would ever lose would be 10 lbs only to eventually gain it back. I was always left frustrated and depressed. Doctors were useless. I would ask for help and explain what was happening and they would ignore me or just say well it takes time or it will be difficult because of your health issues. Well the new me has decided I have had enough and am giving it another try. Losing weight would not only mean I would be healthier and be less at risk for heart attacks, strokes, etc but it would also help with my self esteem and eventually make me happier.
I plan on trying Tim Ferris' diet. Basically I will be removing all white carbohydrates from my diet. Like bread, rice, potatoes, etc. I'm also removing sugar. I'm allowed one bad day which I have chosen to be Saturday. However I won't be doing what Tim says about pigging out till you make yourself sick on your bad day. I just don't agree with that at all. I also plan on exercising. Most likely it will be resistance training.
I have set myself a goal for this year. I hope to reach 200 lbs by the end of the year. My overall goal though is 145 lbs.
